Interface Zero is a great cyberpunk setting for Savage Worlds. This setting is more a future based on scientific advances instead of something like Shadowrun which has magic and mythical creatures. For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition OCR software to attempt to decipher the printed text. David J May 24, pm UTC. Shain E May 10, am UTC. Great product and setting. I have been using it for my transhumanism game along side the Eclipse Phase Book. The background on the solar system helps out, as well as the stuff for hacking and VR capability. I bought the book at DunDraCon last February and the seller said that most of the fate books I bought from him, most of the creators tend to throw in the PDF if asked. Do you give a deal on that, and if so, what can sort of deal can we come to? Shain E June 06, pm UTC. Sune N November 06, pm UTC. A very good and solid product, very loyal to the Fate feeling! One thing that seems a bit hasted though, is the character sheet. Compared to - for instance - the Savage Worlds version, it seems like no really love went into its creation. Maybe you'll publish one free of charge?

Are there any chance, that you will convert the other IZ books to Fate also, or are you going to do what Modiphius Games did with Aching! Cthulhu, and only publish the ground rules, not doing anything with all the extras? Steve M October 26, am UTC. Hey folks, anyone else having problems with the Character Sheet? When I try to print it I get a massive line down the left hand side and most of the sheet is unreadable, this happens with both the standalone sheet and the more basic one in the PDF. Does anyone have a link to a working copy of the PDF character sheet? Greg S September 08, pm UTC. So I just received a hardcover book from DriveThruRPG for Interface Zero: Fate Edition and it has a nice cover but the binding is poor with just simple glue binding and is not stitch bound. I think this book will fall apart rather quickly with any regular use. I wish DrivethruRPG would produce higher quality hardbound books with pages that are actually sewn to the spine of the book and I encourage RPG publishers such as Gun Metal Games to use better companies to print their books!

Evil Hat and Paizo books all have great binding! The book is Fate Core Sized and the pages are dull in color as the paper does not have any gloss. Personally, I think Print on Demand is not worth it. I am very disappointed with DriveThruRPG and the way they bind their books! With that said, I am only on page but so far I am impressed with the material. Note, you must already have Fate Core with this See more book as it will reference it on several occasions so it is not meant to be a stand alone rule book. I am disappointed that they use a Resource mechanic for money with a Stress Track but it is consistent with the overall Fate flavor. For weapons, it also ignores clip and magazine size but whatever. I don't think I ever tracked ammo when I played Shadowrun but I always thought it was nice to know how many bullets are in a clip for whatever gun your using.

So far, I've never played Fate but I am willing to give this a shot. I do wish that there was at least one sample adventure that was included with the book. It would have made playing right away easier. David J September 09, pm UTC. Greg, I'm so sorry about the state of the POD product. I debated even doing it, because I know the POD option doesn't produce a superior book in Hard cover. The soft covers are relatively good, up to a certain page count. I wish they would look into better binding options. Al that said, people wanted it, so I released it this way. This book was printed using the same printer Evil Hat does, but that was a very limited run for the kickstarter.

I wanted to print enough to get it into mainstream distribution, but I didn't earn enough money in the Kickstarter. Pierre S October 07, pm UTC. The typography and lavish artwork is great, but I expected it from Gun Metal Games' prior Savage Worlds edition. I much prefer the giant Fate worldbooks or sourcebooks of hundreds of pages, more than the shorter page world books published directly by Evil Hat, which tend to be quirky settings though it is no less possible to run an extensive campaign in them. Weapons, as you say, tend to be more similar and uniform in the Fate system, but exploit whatever special rules they have for autofire, scopes and so on. One cute rule from an older edition of Fate is that a character may normally carefully manage a certain rate of fire, and have time to reload, no need to track. But if they decide to go crazy with Full Auto, they can benefit from that attack but gain an aspect LOW ON AMMO which means the GM can compel running out of ammo AT A TIME OF THEIR CHOOSING.

So it makes things more risky and tense. Be prepared to switch to a holdout weapon. The Interface Zero for Fate Core See more Kickstarter DID have one adventure come out of the Kickstarter so far, called "A Facsimile of Death", for sale separately here on DriveThruRPG. David J August 23, pm UTC. Greg S August 12, am UTC. I'm very curious to see how you approach wealth with Fate. I'm not that big on the idea of not having money tracked as a dollar figure, especially for characters that are motivated by greed, which is the norm for Shadowrun type campaigns. So I am anxious to see your flexible wealth system and how it lets players get get rich or die trying.

I will buy this when it is available in a print format. Łukasz K August 12, am UTC. It looks like money in IZ is based on the Resources skill from Fate Core, with the "if you really want to get crazy" option with using additional stress tracks for it. You can check it out in the core rules. That being said - this is not the only game ruleset that doesn't much care about money as a value Tri-Stat is another example. Even in Shadowrun your character after a few runs has boatloads of cash though the character stays on the same level of living usually and being motivated by greed stops working, and the numbers only add useless bookkeeping during the game how much that costs? eh, newyen? Thanks for replying to my post. I appreciate the incite about the money being tracked by the Resource Skill.

It still seems weird though, asking someone how much they are going to get paid for a job and they tell them to roll their resources or it will reduce your stress track by one just does not sound right. Yes, campaigns should not just be motivated solely by money or greed but there are many adventures that I have seen in the past where there is a monetary reward and not being able to specifically say how much it is worth is kinda lame. Yes, there is pointless bookkeeping but I never thought it was that big of a deal. To me Resource skills worked best in games like DC Heroes, where you play a Super Hero and are trying to be heroic. However, Shadowrunners are anti-heroes who steal for profit and maybe just to stick it to the man or a mega corporation. See more they always tracked it. David J August 12, pm UTC.

In a not-so-distant future, the world has been ravaged by global warming, subjected to the horrors of nuclear war and natural disaster, witnessed the collapse of the mightiest nation in the history of the world, and the rise of other nations to take its place. In East Asia, the Bear and the Dragon battle for control of the resource-rich continent, and an emergent A. known only as Charon has destabilized the whole of Europe, sparking revolution and chaos not seen since the Second World War. On the North American continent, the prospect of conflict once again rears its ugly head as terrorist bombings in Atlantica, bring the nation to the brink of war with the North American Coalition.

Is this the work of Charon, as well, or are other forces moving behind the scenes? Only time will tell. Is there another way to order a hardcopy of the book or is it available only through POD? My previous experience with POD was a bit disappointing I would say, but I am really interested in getting a hardcopy. Russell S February 03, pm UTC. I bought a hardcopy on amazon a few months ago, so yes it is still out there elsewhere. I avoid POD unless there is no other option and I don't feel like printing something myself --color laser printers are great for this, but then you need to bind them. Joseph H April 19, pm UTC. I was able to get a hardcover copy directly through my FLGS via their distributors. Ask if the book is carried by the distributors of your nearest hobby or game shop if you're interested in it that way. chris D July 04, am UTC. Noticed this file was updated a few months ago but the individual players and gm book which to my understanding was the same content hasn't been updated in 3 years?

chris D July 10, pm UTC. Contacted dev and they advised they added character sheet to this file. David R June 07, am UTC. I've played Savage Worlds for years and as of late my play group has been leaning more towards cyberpunk settings. This game caught my interest but I no longer own the Savage Worlds core rule book. Do I need to buy Savage Worlds to run this game or are all the basic rules included in this book? David J June 07, pm UTC. Christopher S May 01, pm UTC. I bought the physical book a few months back a signed copy! I'm currently running a game in the setting set in the Spokane DMZ, because the description was perfect I'm a local. Anyway, just out of curiosity, is there any way I can get access to the updated information without having the buy the PDF?

It's cool if not, just thought I'd check. David J May 01, pm UTC. Joshua B March 06, pm UTC. Is there a lot of setting information in this book as compared to the Fate Core version? I already have the Fate Core version, and I am curious if I should purchase this as well to get more in-depth details on the Interface Zero world. David J March 06, pm UTC. The setting information in the Fate core book is actually a little more detailed than this version. We're working on updating this version with the newer material. Jim M November 25, pm UTC. Quick question: Just got the PDF thanks to a friend purchasing it for me as a gift, and I'm reviewing the timeline - I was wondering, is "Messianic" deliberately misspelled? Or should it be errata-bait? I'm about to dive in to the full text, but I thought I'd ask, in case the answer was "wait and see". David J November 26, pm UTC.

Jim M December 25, am UTC. Sorry for the delay in replying, DTRPG didn't notify me that a reply had come in until today, oddly enough. pdf, it is spelled "Mess ionic," with a space between the two words, like so: Mess ionic ecoterrorist group That is a direct copy and paste from the PDF. Do I have an old copy? This is the copy that was included in the purchase, so I would assume it's the current revision? I'm not trying to be problematic, here, I swear, but I also am looking right at the misspelling. If there were a way to include screen captures in our reply, I would. Thanks much! Hope the holidays are going well for you. David J December 25, am UTC. Right on. Thank you for the quick reply. Now I can assure my players there's nothing to it and they'll stop over analyzing. Jarkko S August 31, pm UTC. David J August 31, pm UTC. The file is rather large and this is the optimized version so that's why. The file seems to be about 23mb and I have other pdf-files in my library that are way bigger ,06mb and they seem to roll just fine with their pages.

Seems a bit odd, and also it makes reading IZ a bit unpleasant. Well I'll be damned! Thank you very much! The flat file works like a miracle and is pleasant to scroll through with my trusty old toaster of a computer :. Jim L September 01, am UTC. Gotta express my thanks too David. I've always been hesitant to use the PDF due to how long it takes to load each page. Flat version makes it so much smoother to scroll through. Really appreciate it! Zarion B November 06, am UTC. So I have a few questions regarding this book: 1. What are the biggest differences between the editions? Both in rues and setting 2. Are the supplements from previous editions compatible? How lethal is the combat? Are the hacking rules fast and easy? Compared to Shadowrun or Cyberpunk I have never played anything using the "Savage Worlds" rules, sorry if any of these questions are redundant.

David J November 06, pm UTC. Hi, We've expanded on the setting alot, bringing the timeline up by two years.
